Honest Questions

"I will pour the water down upon a thirsty barron land
And streams will flowFrom the dust of your bruised and broken soul
And you will grow like the grass
Upon the fertile plains of Asia by the streams
Of living water you will grow
Oh.. you will grow"- Honest questions
Ok soooo its been like a year and a half since my last update on blogger... its somthing i think i should take up again.
So since October 2006? Well i worked at a clothing store which i'm still getting hours for sometimes. I'm not a retail person but it pays which is good. Ummm yeah so i worked there full/ part time until January in which started Community College full time where i was doing a major in Humanities. I got on the deans list (while working and helping out at my brother's youth group in jamestown on the weekends... i was a busy chica) and was fully prepared to keep going, getting all the credits that would transfer to a four year school and then getting my degree in teaching probably.
But God had other plans for me and with His leading i decided to Attend a little bible school about an hour from the city where i live. Its small, about 250 people including staff living there so you know everyone... and their business and they know yours. I had to wear a skirt three times a week to chapel and classes, and i got to wear dress slacks the other two days, no crazy dyed hair, facial piercing, you can't be one on one with the opposite sex, if you go off campus it either can be with the same sex or mixed groups with an odd number if its under six people. The first semester you can't date (the 16 week rule). You can have two double dates a month after that approved by the deans, you get 4 weekends away from campus also approved by the Deans. No touching the opposite sex unless its a hug for less than 3 seconds and they perfer that you side hug. They do inforce these rules... Oh yes curfew, if your a junior or under the age of 22 you have study time from 7:00 to 9:30 where you have to let your RA know where you are and what you are doing. and you have to be back in your dorms by 11pm and all junior and under 22 have to have lights out by 12am. On weekends youhave to be in your dorms and lights out by 1am. sigh... you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cafeteria with everyone... you hang out with everyone... You live in a fish bowl....if you have fights with people, like someone, don't like someone, date someone (even in secret..) everyone knows and asks you a million questions.
I love its my first couple months and then the shine came off, then i hated it until the last couple months when i finally learned to appreciated transparancy. I made friends there alot of very good friends, we even had our own little family by the second semester, made up of alot of the 21 and older crowd, juniors and an international. Many of them were in the same missionary one year course that i was in. we hung out together chilled together cried together rejoiced with one another and generally were there when we needed each other. I'm glad i went just to meet them. C4L Baby!
I'm pretty sure i'm going to go back, they take my SWYM and community college credits and i can get my three year in two. So i have another year of strict living but its ok because at least you know where you stand and learn to submit. The other great thing about being there is that they really care, like really care about who you are and how your walk with the Lord is! A few of the teachers there have made really big impacts on my life The Missions teacher i had him for like almost every class and it was really a joy soaking up just so much expierience in missions, and the teacher for Cults and World religions has really been an amazing support always wanting to know how my life is going and taking time out and praying and listening when i was hurt or confused. We even once went out for pizza which was amazing!

ummm lets see rest of the two years?
